This year, Fanatic brings us some great innovations in their SUPs. Now one of the most influential brands on the market, Fanatic’s policy is to have a cohesive live, while trying to limit the number of models but keeping the quiver complete.
There are now a few new models, that were missing in Fanatic’s line up until now:
_ The unavoidable inflatable board: the Fly Air
_ The Kids’ board: The Ripper
_ The easy surf board for everyone out there: All Wave 8'6, et 9'10.
Here’s a more detailed description of the new boards:
FLY AIR:
9’ x 31”:
A bulletproof, dynamic shape for younger or more progressive riders who need an easy-to-transport shape for surfing conditions. A TriFin/Thruster set will see you blow other hard and inflatable shapes out of the water. Hard enough to take knocks on the rocks, it’s easy to store and inflates in minutes.
10’6” x 34":
Perhaps the most multipurpose product on the market. Born of the classic hard shell Fly 10’6”, this is no inflatable tailored to the ocean - it’s based on the most popular shape in our hard shell range - but with extra width for stability and comfort. Perfect for genuine surfing performance, cruising and maximum family fun – all packed in a handy bundle. Make sure there’s one in your trunk ready to hit the water at any opportunity.
RIPPER KIDS BOARD
The ultimate progressive shape for future rippers. Based on the proven 8’6” AllWave it comes with special graphic effects and High Resistance Skin (HRS) to take the knocks that athletic young riders will dish out. Stable enough for both first-timers and heavy water, but with a rockerline for aggressive hard-turning styles. Soft Top with foam moulded comfortable deck for grip, durability and protection. Comes in 2+1 Thruster/Tri Setup. The wider outline’s ideal for beginners, but a true surf-style scoop rocker, planted stance and nose kick will satisfy advanced riders in either heavy or mellow conditions. Available in High Resistance Skin (HRS) with 2+1 TriFin cluster (US center box and Futures sidebites) and performance GFK fins.
The Ripper is also supplied with a windsurfing mast base option, for first time experiences and light wind wavesailing
ALLWAVE:
There’s nothing better for maximizing surf time than a CAD-formed precision SUP shape. Two all-new sizes, an 8’6” and a 9’10” have been added at each end of the spectrum with 8’6’’ / 8’10’’ / 9’2’’ / 9’6’’ and 9’10’’ now available – all with a focus on easy paddling and wave-catching ability. Easy riding at its best. For 2012 the AllWave range features 5 compact surfing shapes to suit all sizes of rider.
